Field Service Engineer

Region covered: North East UK

Position summary

The Field Service Engineer is primarily responsible to maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker’s products while ensuring compliance with the quality system and manufacturer specifications. He/she delivers technical assistance at customer sites and provides documentation to internal and external customers.

What you will do

  1. Repair and check electronic / mechanical Stryker products
  2. Complete annual check and calibration according to MDR on customer site
  3. Utilize software and technological tools to maintain proper records, access technical information
  4. Assist the regulatory affairs department / customer to action product recalls, field safety notices and field action notices
  5. Fulfil Service contracts with planned maintenances
  6. Delivery of technical Training to internal & external
  7. Perform Installation of Stryker systems on customer site
  8. Perform Software & Hardware Upgrades
  9. Efficient and thorough documentation of service activities for internal and external reference
  10. Ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products through reporting tools
  11. Provide technical support to Internal and external customers
  12. Escalade opportunities and issues appropriate team meetings
  13. Ensure excellent follow-up on all customer-initiated issues
  14. Ensure service provided is invoiced if not under warranty
  15. Scheduling of Customer visits in cooperation with Customer service

What you need

  1. Educated to degree level in engineering medical electronics and camera technology or relevant experience, at least one of the following:
  2. Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Mechanical / Software
  3. Medical Physics
  4. Technology Subjects
  5. Adequate IT-knowledge (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook)
  6. Up to 1 year experience in medical electronics, combined with good mechanical skills
  7. Up to 1 year experience in the hospital environment and health care work
  8. IT experience on administrative and technical level
  9. Experience and ability to build relationship with internal & external customers to drive brand loyalty
