Location: Field-based - Predominantly South of England, but UK-wide travel required
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Overtime + Benefits
Are you an apprentice-trained engineer looking for a dynamic field-based role with a world-leading machine tool OEM? This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge CNC machinery across multiple client sites, providing vital support to manufacturers nationwide.
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll travel to customer sites across the UK, with a focus on the South of England, ensuring high-performance operation of advanced CNC machine tools. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reactive & Preventative Maintenance - Diagnosing and fixing breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Machine Installations & Commissioning - Ensuring new equipment is set up and running optimally.
- Servicing & Repairs - Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Customer Training & Support - Advising engineers on best practices and machine operation.
- OEM Training & Development - Receive world-class training, including visits to overseas sites.
- Exciting Variety - Work with different clients, industries, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

- Overtime Pay - Paid after 40 hours per week at 1.5x weekdays, 1.8x Saturdays, and 2x Sundays.

- Apprentice-trained in an engineering discipline - Mechanical, electrical, or similar.
- Hands-on maintenance experience - Machine tool or CNC knowledge beneficial but not essential.
- Openness to learn - Willingness to develop new skills and adapt to new technology.
- Comfortable with extensive travel & nights away - This role involves regular overnight stays.
- Full UK driving licence - Essential for nationwide travel.
