Field Service Engineer – Machine Tool OEM

Location: Field-based – Predominantly South of England, but UK-wide travel required

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Overtime + Benefits

Are you an apprentice-trained engineer looking for a dynamic field-based role with a world-leading machine tool OEM? This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge CNC machinery across multiple client sites, providing vital support to manufacturers nationwide.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll travel to customer sites across the UK, with a focus on the South of England, ensuring high-performance operation of advanced CNC machine tools. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Reactive & Preventative Maintenance – Diagnosing and fixing breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  2. Machine Installations & Commissioning – Ensuring new equipment is set up and running optimally.
  3. Servicing & Repairs – Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues.
  4. Customer Training & Support – Advising engineers on best practices and machine operation.
  5. OEM Training & Development – Receive world-class training, including visits to overseas sites.

What You Need

  3. Openness to learn – Willingness to develop new skills and adapt to new technology.
  4. Comfortable with extensive travel & nights away – This role involves regular overnight stays.
  5. Full UK driving licence – Essential for nationwide travel.
