What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Client Services Manager the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing world-class pre- and post-sales technical support to DTC Sales Teams in the military market, ensuring accurate requirement capture, effective demonstrations, and optimal representation of DTC capabilities. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop costed solutions, plan supply chain and project execution, and enhance or develop products to meet customer needs and market trends. Support trade show planning and design demonstration systems to showcase product features effectively.

As a key member of the team, Field Service Engineer must be able to:
  • Provide prompt technical support to sales teams and customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Deliver remote and on-site support for RF, IT, and video configurations of DTC products.
  • Collaborate with Solutions, Project, and Engineering teams to align on project requirements and execution.
  • Oversee system testing, implementation, and seamless delivery to customers.
  • Manage equipment availability and readiness for demonstrations and customer presentations.
  • Test, configure, and present systems at exhibitions, ensuring professional and effective operation.
  • Showcase product capabilities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training courses and materials for customers and internal staff.
About You

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer with expertise in RF signals, COFDM RF systems, and modulation techniques. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in using RF power meters, spectrum analysers, and troubleshooting data communication systems (Ethernet and serial devices) with tools such as Wireshark and Tera Term. Experience with video/audio encoding technologies like H.264 and HEVC is essential.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with a proactive mindset, resilience, and a dedication to meeting deadlines.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo Security Screening to ‘SC’ level.
