Job ID: 32415

Faygate, Horsham

Our client is a leading supplier of vehicles and servicing of equipment ranging from 4 wheeled Electric vehicles, Combustion Engine vehicles to Hot Box Power Washers and electric assisted equipment.

They are growing rapidly and are looking for an additional engineer to join the team. Machines are mainly battery powered but there are some petrol and diesel machines.

The role

  • Working within a small team of likeminded engineers, the successful candidate will need to be a team player as everyone supports each other.
  • The role will involve carrying out routine servicing and repairs and maintenance of the companies/customers equipment.
  • Respond to breakdown callouts as required, which will mostly likely lead to going to customer site and bringing the equipment back for diagnosis and maintenance.
  • Problem solving and investigation work to figure out how the equipment has become damaged and creating basic step by step reports (If user error etc.)
  • Standard hours would be 6am to 4:30pm but there would be a requirement to be flexible on start and finish times as needed to get machinery repairs completed. If you are starting the day early to get to customer site, you will have the flexibility to finish early as the company believes in hard work is rewarded/appreciated and won’t hold you to core hours.
  • There will be very busy days and very quiet days, so support and positive attitude needs to be given regardless of what the day holds.

Must have skills/background.

  • Driving license
  • Although rare, overnight stay may be necessary on longer distance routes.
  • Physically fit as this will involve strip down and rebuild work of vehicles.
  • Electrical/Mechanical maintenance experience within vehicles or plant equipment.
  • Be confident at representing the company when at customers sites.
  • Experience with fault finding and diagnosis is essential; planned preventative maintenance and mechanical fitting will not be enough.

Embracing diversity in all its forms, our client is an equal opportunity employer. They welcome individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or belief.
