Job description

Stafforce are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing team in Leeds. In this role, you will be repairing a range of heavy plant machinery. This is a Field Service role, so you will be expected to go to client's sites to complete PPMs and reactive maintenance.

What to Expect:

1. Diagnose, repair, and test equipment
2. Document work performed and report any unresolved issues
3. Flexibility with working hours, including occasional work outside standard hours, paid at 1.5x
4. Receive instructions electronically (written and verbal) via a handheld PDA during breakdowns
5. Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure safe working practices
6. Communicate with Supervisor/Manager regarding additional work and obtain authorisation before proceeding

What We Need:

1. Experience in servicing plant and equipment within industrial and/or construction settings
2. Valid clean driving license
3. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, electrics, and fault diagnosis
4. Experience with main dealers is highly advantageous
5. Ability to maintain high standards of quality and discipline
6. Effective communication skills to address vehicle concerns directly with customers when necessary
