Forklift Engineer
Location: Ipswich
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 + overtime at 1.5x and bonus scheme
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm, 30min unpaid lunch. All travel paid.

My clients Field Service Engineers are based from their homes and from there attend customer sites to carry out servicing and repairs on a wide range of forklifts and material handling equipment. The engineer liaises daily with their designated service controller who is responsible for arranging and planning the engineer's working day as efficiently as possible. Jobs are sent to the engineer electronically via their bespoke management system, and this is where all the work the engineer completes is documented. Many of their engineers choose to do overtime which is not limited and is paid at time and a half.

Forklift Engineer role:

1. All levels of technical works; from general servicing and repairs to diagnostics
2. Complete repairs to a high standard, adhere to manufacturer procedures and processes, become part of a team, and mainly bring high attention to detail
3. General maintenance & repairs

Forklift Engineer requirements:

1. Full driving licence
2. GCSE C grades or above in English, maths and mechanical C&G or NVQ level 2 equivalent
3. 3 years+ experience in the materials handling industry (as an engineer)
4. Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience preferred
5. Proficient in fault finding and repair
6. Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice
7. Commitment to continuing personal and professional development
8. Excellent organisational skills
