Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer required to join a leading compressed air supplier.


The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across the South of the UK. Full product training provided.


The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer will ideally have a field service background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering such as compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, rotating equipment or similar compressed air related equipment.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer Role

To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.

The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.

Maintain, repair and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the South of the UK.

Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.

Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.

Liaise with various engineering departments.


Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer Requirements

  1. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems.
  2. Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
  3. The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  4. Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  5. Field servicing background in compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, rotating equipment, capital equipment is advantageous. Training provided.
  6. A technical mechanical / electrical / electronic / instrumentation qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  7. Homebased, willing to travel Guildford or Reading when required.
