Excel Equipment, Virginia’s premier CASE construction equipment dealer, is seeking a skilled Field Service Diesel Mechanic to join their 1st shift team in Suffolk, VA. This role is responsible for performing scheduled work at our customer locations.

If you have diesel mechanic experience working on heavy equipment or construction equipment, Excel Equipment wants to hear from you! Certifications are a plus and can earn you an increase in wages.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses mechanical problems; able to handle regular maintenance, light and heavy repairs for heavy equipment. To include repairs brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps and electrical problems and engine repairs.
  • Performs repairs and or scheduled maintenance as needed as a mobile Technician at our customers location.
  • Able to work independently. Can diagnose and repair on the roadside/customer site and/or not at our dealership.
  • Prepares work orders for repairs and works closely with our Parts department to insure an efficient repair.
  • Promotes cooperation and teamwork.
  • Willing to train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development.
  • Able to embrace our Elite Support & Safety Culture.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
