Job Description

We are a leading company in the manufacturing of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), making some of the world’s best-loved brands like Fairy, Ariel, Lenor, Oral-B, and Pampers. We are looking for exceptional and highly motivated Process Technicians to join our London Plant Falling Film Reactor Manufacturing Team.

Technicians will join a team responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex process technology and the daily running of the chemical plant to produce a high-quality product that improves the lives of consumers. The unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and individuals would be required to work a 12-hour shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.

Working as part of a shift team you will:

  1. Be responsible for ensuring your unit operates in a safe and efficient manner by following our strict safety policies and procedures.
  2. Diagnose, operate, correct, and manage the outcomes of complex processing systems through trend analysis, physical checks on the plant, and your process knowledge.
  3. Work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs and ladders, and perform other physical duties.
  4. Maintain certain equipment/areas for basic conditions and improve results.
  5. Assist/execute activities on the field like breaking lines, changing filters & components, and general maintenance activities.
  6. Operate a forklift truck.
  7. Complete lab analysis.

Successful candidates will receive a comprehensive training programme.

Job Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 5 GCSE grade C or above and NVQ level 2 or above in Process Plant operation (or similar) preferred.
  2. 3+ years of manufacturing experience as a panel operator in a Refinery/Chemical/Pharmaceutical plant preferred.
  3. Capability to diagnose, operate, correct, and manage the outcomes of complex processing systems (mechanical and chemical).
  4. Experience working a rotating shift schedule.
  5. Able to communicate well verbally and orally.
  6. Must be well-organized, attentive to detail, and efficient.
  7. Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  8. Able to work effectively as part of a team and with own initiative.
  9. Some level of IT competence.
  10. Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
