Your Role at Norwood:

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Guiding and supporting individuals in their day-to-day activities.
  2. Encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  3. Accompanying individuals to routine appointments.
  4. Teaching essential life skills like budgeting, shopping, and managing bills.
  5. Assisting with personal care and, if required, administering medication.
  6. Contributing to household tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
Minimum Requirements:

• You must be female to apply for this role.

• Experience of working with people with neurodevelopmental disabilities, epilepsy, and mobility needs.

• Understanding of non-verbal communication such as Makaton.
