Job Description:

Hours: 21 hours over 3 weekdays

Pay: £16.63 per hour

Area: Boroughbridge area

You will be providing additional support during outings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (a total of 21 hours) for a young lady with autism and learning difficulties, working together with a BSL Communication Support Worker.

This is a very rewarding role and there is an opportunity to practice and improve your BSL. Outings include art sessions, swimming, cycling, the Railway Museum, country walks, and trips to the seaside with a very sociable, keen learner who likes to share in activities and experiences.

You will need:

  1. Experience in caring for young adults with autism.
  2. A driving licence; a car is provided for outings.
  3. An ability to communicate effectively in British Sign Language at Level 1 or above.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010.
