Job description

Prospero Teaching are seeking a Female PE teacher to join Ofsted Outstanding, all girls secondary school located in Barnet starting ASAP.

The Headteacher welcomes ECTS to apply to this Female PE teacher post. As an ECT, you will be joining an award-winning school where the Physical Education department teaches between KS3 to KS5. Students will learn a whole host of sports and deep dive into GCSE topics including Netball, Dance, Gymnastics, Football, Athletics, Health, Fitness and Wellbeing, Sports Psychology and participate in extracurricular clubs like Badminton, Athletics, Trampolining, and Swimming.

This is a warm, welcoming, inclusive teaching and learning environment steeped in history and is a fantastic place to teach.

THE Female PE teacher JOB:
  • Full-time
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 and possibly Key stage 5
  • This is a mainstream, Ofsted Outstanding secondary school
  • State of the art facilities
  • Solid, well-resourced Female PE teacher department of 4
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking
  • Facilities are exceptional - vast playing fields, swimming pool, gymnasium, badminton and tennis courts
  • Parking is available on-site and the school is well-served by public transport
  • Team of 4 Female PE teachers who will support you
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL FEMALE PE TEACHER WILL BE:
  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS preferred) or equivalent
  • A team player, able to lead and inspire colleagues and pupils alike
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways
TO BE ELIGIBLE FEMALE PE TEACHER MUST HAVE / BE:
  • Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student
  • A positive attitude and desire to maintain current standards and raise attainment across the school
  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm
  • The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun
  • Excellent communication skills - the school encourages good communication with parents/carers
