Role Description

Female Deputy Manager

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Salary: £15.56 per hour (£30,342 per annum) plus benefits.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shifts vary between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday (on a shift rota basis).

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.

Essential Criteria

  • Hold a level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to undertake.
  • Statutory guidance & CQC regulations exposure.
  • Complex health needs, learning disabilities, autism and sight loss.
  • Managing, assessing new people to support and mentoring experience.
  • Resilient, calm and able to work under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and able to produce written reports.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

We're looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team who can stay calm under pressure. You will be enthusiastic and take a proactive approach. You will need to have strong administration skills, be able to work and make decisions autonomously, in the absence of the home manager.

What will you be doing?

  • Management Responsibilities: Assist the service manager to ensure that everyone receives high quality support, including rota management, staff supervisions, training new team members, leading, and supporting the team to complete support plans and risk assessments.
  • Partnership Working: Champion skilful interactions, person-centred planning and partnership working primarily with the people you support, their families, and our specialist support teams as well as external agencies.
  • Creativity and Planning: Plan and implement professionally designed support plans that genuinely improve the quality of everyday life, demonstrating sound judgment and creative solutions.
  • Daily Care & Support: Help with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships: Get to know the people you support, understand their needs, and help them live life on their own terms.
  • Empowering Independence: Assist with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encourage creative exploration.
  • Social Engagement: Support activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone can enjoy what they love doing.
  • Respect & Dignity: Ensure that individuals and their families are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and equality.
  • New Business Referrals: Assist the Business Development team with assessments for new people to support.
