Job Description

As a Home Instead Caregiver, you will provide vital support to clients with daily living activities, including companionship, personal care, and assistance with daily routines. Our goal is to enable clients to live comfortably and independently in their homes, while maintaining their dignity and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent and compassionate companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with mobility, transfers, and light exercise where required.
  • Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with errands, shopping, and appointments.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with clients to ensure long-term continuity of care.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A caring, compassionate, and patient individual with a strong desire to make a positive impact.
  • Previous experience in care is preferred but not essential – full training provided.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with clients, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and professional.
  • Female carers preferred for this position due to client preference.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).
Qualifications

Full training will be provided. No previous care experience necessary. We are looking for people from across the community who share in our values to provide compassionate care and get to know our clients as you would your own family.
