You will need to be available to work split shifts 7am - 2pm or 4pm to 10.30pm and be available alternate weekends or one weekend day every week. (When working the weekend, you will have time off during the week.)

You probably already have the skills you need to make a great Care Assistant, but we will teach you everything you need to know with our industry-leading training.

Please note: Only female applicants can be considered due to the nature of the contracts we have currently. As this role involves giving care to patients in their own home, you must have a driving license and access to a vehicle.

Duties will include:

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care provision are maintained at all times.
• To undertake all duties in accordance with the policies and procedures of Right at Home at all times.
• Duties will include aspects of personal care to allow Clients to maintain their personal hygiene, appearance, and physical comfort.
• Assisting in the preparation and making of meals, drinks, and snacks.
• To provide assistance with other tasks of daily living which may include cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of their environment, shopping, laundry, and bill paying.
• To assist Clients in taking medication as identified in their care plan.
• To work as part of a team with colleagues.
• To provide social support, talking and listening to the Client, helping them to maintain contact with friends and family and other contacts in potentially isolating situations.
• To contribute to the safe moving and handling of Clients to maximize their physical abilities and mobility.
• Act on own initiative and exercise good decision-making skills.

Requirements of a Care Assistant:

• Be available for early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (alternate) on a shift pattern.
• Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving license and have access to your own vehicle as you will be traveling to clients to care for them in their own home.
• Currently be living in the UK (we do not accept applications from abroad at this time)
• Have a genuine passion for wanting to help others.
• Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude.

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant, or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail sales assistant, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, receptionist, administrator, cleaners, warehouse workers, and delivery drivers.
