• £40-£50K plus accommodation and benefits

In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of farm management, ensuring high standards of crop production, sustainability, and team leadership.

Farm Manager - Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of farm management, including planning, planting, cultivation, harvesting, and storage of cereals and root vegetables.
• Develop and implement efficient and sustainable farming practices to maximise yield and quality.
• Manage and lead a team of farm workers, ensuring effective staff training, motivation, and performance.
• Monitor soil health, pest and disease control, and implement appropriate agronomic strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, environmental regulations, and farm assurance schemes.
• Maintain and manage farm machinery and equipment, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Manage farm budgets, purchasing, and financial planning to maintain profitability.
• Liaise with suppliers, agronomists, and industry stakeholders to stay updated on best practices and market trends.

Farm Manager - Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications: You will have/be:

• Proven experience in farm management, preferably within arable farming with a focus on cereals and root vegetables.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field is desirable.
• Strong agronomic knowledge and practical experience in crop management.
• Understanding of modern farming techniques, including precision agriculture and sustainable practices.
• Experience in managing budgets, staff, and farm operations.
• Familiarity with farm machinery and maintenance.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, farm assurance schemes, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
