Job description
Our family-run regenerative dairy farm is looking for a motivated individual to help the farm transition to its new enterprise. There are a variety of building maintenance jobs that are required, as well as day-to-day care of the remaining young stock cattle who are out at pasture. We are planning a farm sale, so the role will vary and will entail cleaning and preparing farm machinery and tractors ready for sale. We are hoping for the right candidate that the role will lead to becoming a permanent part of the team as a general farm worker within the new regenerative dairy enterprise.
Job Role:
- Cleaning/greasing farm machinery ready for farm sale
- Checking cattle
- Operating tractors/telehandler
- Cleaning out sheds and cubicles ready for the new herd
- Deep cleaning milking parlor
- Carrying out maintenance tasks around farm buildings
Minimum Requirements:
- Farm machinery maintenance skills
- Tractor driving skills and towing
- Telehandler experience
- Working with cattle/livestock
- Ability to work alone
- Driving license
Desired Qualifications/Attributes:
- Chainsaw qualification
- Interest in regenerative agriculture
