Role: French Teacher

As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students in their study of the French language and culture. You will support students in developing a well-rounded understanding of French grammar, literature, and society. Your role will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and meaningful French lessons to students of various age groups.
  • Encouraging students to develop fluency and confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening in French.
  • Supporting students in their academic development, providing guidance and assistance when needed.
  • Organizing and participating in cultural events and language exchanges.
  • Contributing to the development of the French curriculum.
  • Participating in the assessment and monitoring of student progress in French.
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of the French syllabus.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the Modern Languages department.

Key Qualities We Are Looking For:

  • A strong passion for the French language and culture, and a desire to inspire students.
  • A recognized teaching qualification in French, or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching French to secondary-aged students is highly desirable.
  • A passion for developing young people academically and culturally.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of an innovative and collaborative team.
  • Experience with language trips and cultural exchanges is beneficial.
