Family Solicitor - West Midlands

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an interim Family Solicitor to join a highly reputable law firm in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will have the chance to manage their own caseload and provide expert advice on a range of family law matters. What you'll do:

• Manage and run your own caseload within the family team
• Provide advice on a range of family law matters including Private Law Children Matters, Divorce, Financial Settlements, Separation, Domestic Violence, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitee disputes
• Deal with complex and time-sensitive matters
• Take new instructions and conduct legal research
• Perform advocacy duties as required
• Assist the Director on occasions
• Handle new enquiries and convert them into instructions
• Participate in networking and business development activities

What you bring:

• Fully qualified senior solicitor (3-5+ PQE desirable), other qualifications (i.e. CILEX and CLC) will also be considered
• Confidence in running own caseload
• Commercially astute with understanding of business targets and their impact to the practice
• Excellent levels of communication, both written and verbal
• Good academic record; training with a leading national or regional firm is an advantage
• Firm and functional knowledge within family law
• Experience managing your own caseload of privately funded work
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and drive to produce high standard of service to clients
• High levels of speed and accuracy
• Highly organised, methodical and adaptable
• Immediately available
