Role: Family Paralegal

Hours: 9am – 5pm

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000

Are you a Family Paralegal that feels that they just aren’t being offered the right support in your current firm? Is progression limited? Do you need a change of environment? I may have the perfect role for you!

I am excited to be recruiting a Family Paralegal on the behalf of a well-established, successful Law Firm based in Chelmsford.

Duties

  1. Assist the Fee Earner with both private and legal aid family law cases.
  2. Draft correspondence to clients via letters and emails. Update clients on the status of their cases.
  3. Conduct research on relevant laws, precedents, and case details.
  4. Create court applications and legal aid applications.
  5. Meet with clients, understand their needs and take instructions.
  6. Liaise with 3rd parties, professionals and the other side.
  7. Attend hearings with the Solicitor.
  8. Draft witness statements, consent orders, form Es and briefs to counsel.
  9. Prepare court bundles.

Experience

  1. 1 years+ experience working as a Paralegal within Family law at a Law Firm
  2. Law degree completed heavily desired
  3. Ability to manage a fast paced and busy environment
