Job description

We are pleased to be working with a prestigious food manufacturing company based in the outskirts of Maldon, Essex.

Applicants need to be aware this role will involve lots of physical duties.

This role is a PERMANENT opportunity with the first 3 months working through Prime Appointments.

Own transport required due to location.

Duties of the Factory Operative:

1. Operating factory machinery
2. Visual quality checking of product
3. Working to SOPs and site processes
4. Completion of paperwork
5. Use of pallet truck and pump truck
6. Set up of production machinery
7. Undertaking heavy, physical factory duties
8. Take reasonable and practical care of personal health and safety and of others

Hours and Pay:

6:30 am to 12:30 pm, 5 days a week which could include weekends. Shifts are subject to change in future. £16.00ph.

The Ideal Factory Operative:

1. Previous experience in Manufacturing and Production
2. Able to undertake manual handling tasks
3. Valid counterbalance forklift an advantage
4. Own transport required
5. Flexibility and willingness to work overtime
6. Flexible approach to working days (able to work shifts if required)
