A Facilities Technician is needed for this highly successful food manufacturing business.

THE FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

Role and Responsibilities:

1. To provide support in terms of the building fabrication and general maintenance including racking maintenance & inspection, building maintenance in terms of wear and tear, and contractor control associated duties in line with company guidelines and the procedures.
2. Performing maintenance and like repairs.
3. Undertake light installation i.e. cabinets, desks carpentry work.
4. Assist with electrical plumbing and HVAC repairs.
5. Painting and decorating the facility.
6. Pest proofing.
7. Weekly Fire door inspections and fire alarm testing.
8. Working as per maintenance schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
9. Attending regular operations meetings to discuss maintenance requirements & performance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will need to have a background in a similar field ideally in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries.

1. Apprentice trained or minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
2. IPAF trained in line with working at height.
3. SEMA Racking inspection & Repair trained.
4. Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
5. Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical work.
