Your new role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a 12 month Fixed term contract - Facilities Team Leader to join our National Highways England account in Bridge House 1 Walnut Tree Close Guildford Surrey GU1 4LZ. This role is based on-site.

The salary is dependent on experience

Amey delivers total facilities and estate management services, including planned and reactive maintenance works, cleaning, project and asset management across Highways England's extensive and growing operational estate.

We work in partnership with our client, Highway England staff, building users and their supply chain partners to ensure the 24/7 service we provide is delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements that keeps one of the busiest road networks in Europe safe for the people and businesses who rely on it every day.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead on the day to day running of the site.
  • Leading and motivating a team of staff to ensure they provide the best customer service.
  • Comply with all health & safety legislations.
  • Building and ground maintenance.
  • Ensure high quality of daily reception and front of house services.
  • Ensure premises are maintained in a safe and secure manner.
  • General security services, including management of CCTV and alarm systems.
  • React to and execute immediately any general repairs and maintenance duties as required.
What makes this role unique is the opportunity to cover building and supplier maintenance and management, business continuity planning, Health & Safety / compliance management as well as day-to-day facilities functions.

  • This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.

Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
