Facilities Operative - Domestic (Response) Royal Gwent Hospital

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has exciting opportunities to join our Facilities team as Facilities Operatives working within Domestic Services at the Royal Gwent Hospital.

We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals who are committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

The post-holder will undertake a range of specific work functions across the Facilities service.

There Are 2 Posts Available With The Following Hours

Post 1: 36 hours worked 19:00 - 07:30 & 07:00 - 19:30 over various days per week

Post 2: 27 hours worked 07:00 - 19:30 & 19:00 - 07:30 over various days per week

Main duties of the job

The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Education & Training
Essential criteria
  • Basic general education

  • Willingness to undertake & complete the ABUHB facilities competency workbook (within 6 months)
  • Willingness to undertake & complete statutory & mandatory training including Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post
Desirable criteria
  • BIFM/NVQ level 2
