Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Aldgate, London
Salary: £62,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join a prestigious, high-end 160-unit Build-to-Rent development in Aldgate. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a luxury residential community, ensuring that the building and its services are maintained to the highest standards. You will report directly into the General Manager and work closely with a dedicated team, including a Maintenance Technician and Housekeeper.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management: Lead and manage the Maintenance Technician and Housekeeper to ensure the day-to-day operations of the building run smoothly and efficiently.

  2. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are upheld in line with industry regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to guarantee the property remains fully compliant.

  3. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Take a hands-on approach in executing and overseeing PPM tasks, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and on schedule.

  4. Building and Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the building's common areas, amenities, and residential units, ensuring they remain in pristine condition.

  5. Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party contractors, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.

  6. Resident Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for residents, addressing any maintenance concerns or queries in a professional and timely manner.

  7. Reporting and Budget Oversight: Provide regular updates to the General Manager on the status of facilities management, maintenance activities, and budget management.

Key Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience: Proven experience in Facilities Management, ideally within high-end residential or commercial properties. Strong knowledge of compliance standards and hands-on experience with PPM tasks is essential.

  2. Leadership: Experience managing and motivating a small team. The ability to collaborate effectively with the General Manager and other staff.

  3. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), with the capability to assist with or lead PPM tasks.

  4. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify and resolve maintenance and operational issues in a timely manner.

  5. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of building management.
