An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Facilities Manager to join our Property team.

As a Facilities Manager, you will manage compliance and maintenance of all hard services infrastructure as well as working with the wider business and external contractors for both planned and reactive maintenance of the portfolio and capital investment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Full responsibility for the delivery of the maintenance programme for our property portfolio
  2. Identify, assess and manage risks on all property related tasks to ensure success of the project
  3. Provide effective leadership to the facilities team by assigning duties and responsibilities and monitoring progress
  4. Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of planned and reactive maintenance
  5. Manage compliance and asset management across electrical, mechanical and building fabric to current Legislative, Regulatory, Statutory and Department of Health requirements
  6. Manage all third-party contractors and all aspects of compliance and Health & Safety
  7. Manage the investment programme and budget monitoring expenditures and costs against delivered benefits
  8. Management and delivery of the maintenance programme associated with existing portfolio, refurbishment and construction projects

Qualifications and Attributes

Essential qualifications and experience:

  1. Experience in Portfolio Management and Project Management with working knowledge of appropriate contractual obligations
  2. Experience of full scale building refurbishment and moves management with both occupied and non-occupied status
  3. Experience and/or knowledge of budgeting process
  4. Project Management experience including writing business cases and the development and execution of the project
  5. Effective working knowledge of methods for financial management of costs and benefits

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  1. Educated to degree level in a related discipline (Property, Construction, M&E Engineering)
  2. Appropriate professional membership
  3. Experience working in the UK utility industry
  4. Management experience which includes interaction with senior leadership
  5. Experience setting and managing customer expectations
