Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Department for an enthusiastic team member for a Facilities Management Assistant (FMA). The post is suited to a motivated and experienced Domestic services worker to work in Clockview Hospital. The postholder(s) will provide Cleaning, Catering and Portering, ensuring National cleaning standards, PLACE requirements and CQC standards are met.

Main duties of the job

The Facilities Management Assistant will work as part of a team at Clock View Hospital, carrying out Cleaning and Catering duties to maintain high standards in line with National Standards. We are looking for a team member with a flexible approach, able to work to deadlines and demonstrate high standards of quality in their work.

You must have good communication skills, a pleasant personality, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work within an acute mental health ward environment providing a high standard of cleanliness at all times. You must also possess the ability to work within a team or independently as necessary with an understanding of health and safety in relation to safe working practices.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 15.30-19.30 hours; 20 hours per week. Some experience in a similar role is beneficial; however, full training will be given. This post is subject to a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

Essential responsibilities include: NHS experience and training in safety, health, and catering or cleaning tasks; experience of working in a similar role (cleaning or catering); experience of working in the NHS; and experience of dealing with people.

Qualifications

  • NHS experience and training in safety, health, and catering or cleaning tasks.
  • CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene, or equivalent.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience of working in a similar role (cleaning or catering).
  • Experience of working in the NHS.
  • Experience of dealing with people.
