Are you a skilled facilities professional? Are you passionate about maintaining excellent standards across multiple sites? If so, Signature Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for you to join our client across their educational and leisure facilities in Bristol as Facilities Assistant.

This is a full-time position initially on a 3-month temporary contract offering circa £43,000 (£22ph). There is scope for this to become a permanent position after the 3-month period.

As Facilities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Facilities Manager and ensuring excellent maintenance services are delivered across multiple sites while maintaining smooth operations throughout.

Facilities Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Facilities Manager in overseeing maintenance and operational services including site walkarounds with premises managers
  • Manage reactive and planned maintenance ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements
  • Oversee technical projects and coordinate both in-house teams and external contractors
  • Provide technical support and ensure prompt resolution of issues across multiple sites
  • Maintain efficient facilities management systems

Facilities Assistant Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, particularly within commercial or educational environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of M&E maintenance and health & safety compliance
  • Excellent project management and contractor coordination abilities
  • Able to work effectively across multiple sites and adapt to different environments
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain)
