Façade Technician
Location: London or Manchester (Hybrid Working)

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy seeks a Façade Technician to join its expert team, specialising in façade investigations, remediation, and compliance. The firm operates across England and Wales, focusing on high-risk buildings in residential, mixed-use, and education sectors.

The Role

The Façade Technician will conduct investigations, due diligence, and construction oversight while collaborating with project management and cost consultancy teams. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting façade and cladding investigations, including sampling and testing.
  2. Assessing external wall systems for compliance, material composition, and fire safety.
  3. Advising on regulatory compliance and associated risks.
  4. Collating site data for FRAEW assessments and Building Regulations reviews.
  5. Inspecting and monitoring construction works for compliance.
  6. Conducting technical audits, tender reviews, and due diligence.
  7. Overseeing façade remediation projects and preparing reports.
  8. Providing technical support and producing high-quality documentation.

Location & Flexible Working

The role covers England and Wales, with the successful candidate based in London or Manchester. Hybrid working and site visits are required.


The Candidate

  1. 5+ years' experience in consultancy or engineering, with 3+ years in façade investigations or construction oversight.
  2. Degree in building, engineering, or related field and/or professional membership.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, fire safety, and building regulations.
  4. Experience in reviewing construction works and providing oversight.
  5. Excellent report writing and communication skills.
