Job Description
Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Fabricator in Cardiff working on a 2 shift pattern. Duties include lining out and marking off following the interpretation of drawings and specifications, undertaking fabrication works including cutting, bending and bonding of sheet metals.
Shifts:
* Week 1: Mon – Fri 6.00am – 2.00pm
* Week 2: Mon – Fri 2.00pm - 10.00pm
Benefits:
* Hourly rate £14 per hour – annual salary £30,576
* Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary based on company performance

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assemble and fabricate metal parts using hand tools and power tools
* Perform metal bonding tasks
* Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate production
* Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues
* Ensure that all manufacturing quality is of the expected high standard, and the RDD’s are met, and all quality paperwork is adhered to.
* Working with the TL, instil cultural change to embrace ongoing improvements and efficiencies.
* Ensure housekeeping is maintained and work areas are clean and free of debris
* Any other reasonable tasks assigned by your team leader / supervisor
* Compliance with all EH&S and company procedures
* Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures
* Participate in training as required
Essential Experience:
* Experience within a Fabrication/Welding position in an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Able to understand technical drawings
* Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision
* Ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines
* Ability to achieve production and quality targets
* Positive and flexible can-do attitude
