The Company: Roberts & Prowse based in Worminghall are a Steelwork Fabrication and Specialist Welding Contractor who operate throughout the Home Counties, South West & South East of the UK. Due to sustained success and growth are recruiting for Fabrication Assistants to join our busy team.

The Role: As Fabrication Assistants you will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager and will be given the responsibility for assisting with Welding & fabrication projects at our Worminghall Factory.

Duties will include:

1. Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, weld and fabricate metal components
2. Work with Mild and Stainless Steel pipework and Structural Steelwork
3. Cut and Prepare pipe and Steelwork prior to fabrication
4. Assist in fabricating metal parts
5. Carry out application of protective coatings
6. Protect finished objects from transport and installation damage

The Person: To be considered for this role, applicants should be able to:

1. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
2. Familiarity with working with mild and stainless-steel pipework and structural steelwork an advantage
3. Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
4. A willingness to listen and learn
5. A full driving license - required to drive to our Worminghall Factory location.
