Fabric Engineer - FM Service Provider - Guildford, Surrey
Monday - Friday - Up to £32,000


Are you a Fabric Engineer looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work for a leading Facilities Maintenance provider?


CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance across a static site in Guildford, Surrey. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.


This position would be ideal for a Fabric Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £32,000 with a potential route into further career progression.


Hours of Work & Package Information


  1. Basic Salary of up to £32,000
  2. Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm
  3. 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  4. Overtime available
  5. Tablet & Work Phone Provided
  6. Full company uniform
  7. Parking on site

Key Duties & Responsibilities


  1. Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  2. To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paint work, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs, etc.
  3. To undertake some plumbing activities including but not limited to clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, servicing systems, etc.
  4. Painting and Decorating
  5. Assist with office moves (minor office churn) including furniture movers
  6. Liaising with the contract management team
  7. Investigating complaints and taking appropriate action
  8. Ensuring feedback is provided to the helpdesk on the progress of M&E jobs
  9. Carry out specialist technical and non-technical work as deemed appropriate to the continuing maintenance function on the client portfolio
  10. Offer technical support and backup as required
  11. Ensure all personnel and contractors that may be working in hazardous areas take all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment
  12. Use all relevant tools and equipment within the safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works
  13. To ensure the client receives the highest level of service to their assets by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, minor improvements
  14. Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard
  15. Assist Multi-Skilled Engineers where required

Requirements


  1. Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  2. A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  3. Multi-skilled
  4. Good communication skills
