About the role
We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for an Online Merchandise Planner Manager (maternity cover) to join our F&F team here at Tesco.

The candidate will need to work closely with commercial merchandising, finance, operations, trade planning, technology and business intelligence functions in the business to succeed.

Being organised, accurate, responsive and commercially minded will be crucial in supporting business process execution.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Manage the online product range by curating and purchasing items based on customer metrics.
  2. Utilize data insights to optimize stock availability, monitor sales, and ensure profitability.
  3. Collaborate with Marketing, Online and Distribution teams to provide relevant content.
  4. Lead onsite ranging and planning, aligning with retail activity. Coordinate responses across the team and maintain a strategic focus.

You will need:

  1. Strong commercial thinking.
  2. Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Communication & influencing skills; working with/and managing a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Commercial merchandising experience.
  5. WSSI & budget management.
  6. Managing and delegating to team members.
  7. Appreciation and understanding of range and trade planning.
  8. Customer & Commercial Focus.
  9. Their energy and positive outlook will ensure that teams around them deliver on change and simplification.
