EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Duration: Full-time, September 2024

The School/role:

I am working with a fantastic, welcoming school that is seeking a passionate and resilient Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school in Birmingham strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalised curriculum. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year located in their special provision resource base at the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • PECS and Makaton training/experience ideal
  • SEMH, SEND needs experience
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent relevant references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service

The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in supporting children alongside those with a range of different academic attainment levels. It is essential that these students have a SEN Teaching Assistant to act as a positive role model as well as possess good academic knowledge to provide lesson support. This will require patience, commitment, and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.
