Job Description

Ackerman Pierce works closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs, and so we are seeking experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach educators and support staff to provide face-to-face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEND/SEMH, so experience in this is required. The role is to start ASAP.

Location: Saffron Walden, Essex
Position: Outreach teaching assistant, supporting a tutor
Start date: ASAP
End date (if applicable): ongoing
Contract type: Temporary
10 hours per week
Rate of pay: £18 - £23 per hour
Hours: Tuition takes place between 9:30am and 12pm Monday to Thursday

We are looking for candidates who are:

Available during school hours up to 10 hours per week.
Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
Experienced teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
Have exceptional behaviour management strategies.
Prepared to work face-to-face within the community.

Requirements:

Background working in Education, ideally supporting as a TA/LSA/HLTA.
Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
Two years previous experience working within a UK school/education setting.
