External Site Manager - South London

A major residential regeneration project in Southwark, transforming a historic site into a vibrant community. The development consists of multiple buildings, featuring high-quality homes, modern amenities, and landscaped communal areas.

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in external trades to oversee the external works on a large-scale residential project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the building envelope, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with safety standards.

Duties:

1. Oversee and coordinate external construction activities, including masonry brickwork, SFS, and façade installations.
2. Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure all external works meet required standards.
3. Manage the use of mast climbers and other equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
4. Lead and supervise subcontractors and on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
5. Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues.
6. Liaise with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any concerns related to external works.

Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Site Manager, specifically in managing external works on large-scale residential projects.
2. Strong background in masonry brickwork, SFS, façade systems, and the use of mast climbers.
3. Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes in construction.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
6. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
7. Confident IT user, able to work on the tablet.
8. SMSTS, Black CSCS card, First Aid, NVQ level.
