Job description

A family run logistics business established over 100 years, based in Hessle, is currently recruiting for an experienced external Counterbalance Forklift Driver/s to work in the yard at our busy Hessle Depot on 06:00 14:00 / 14:00 22:00 shift.

The role involves the safe loading and unloading of a variety of package types, including hazardous materials.

Responsibilities:

  1. Loading/unloading of articulated vehicles including curtain sided vehicles
  2. Strapping & securing of loads for transit
  3. Working within a Groupage environment
  4. Experience of working with hazardous material

Knowledge, Skills And Experience:
  1. Counterbalance forklift truck licence (current)
  2. Tug Shunter experience (desirable)
  3. Previous experience of working in a busy logistics environment
  4. Good level of literacy and numeracy
  5. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
