For the area of Logistics located in Grimsby, UK, we invite Export specialists to submit applications for the role of Export Shipping Administrator.

Purpose & key accountabilities of the role

The Export Shipping Administrator will oversee orders from enquiry to dispatch; and streamline logistics processes (including transport and supply management) in order to improve stock, cash flow, and customer satisfaction.

  1. You will collate and present export documentation to allow for smooth customs clearance; and check and process Letters of Credit and bank collections where required, carrying out all tasks in a manner consistent with our ISO certification.
  2. You will translate customer requests into confirmed orders, and liaise with the sales force and the factory team to ensure on-time supply of fibre.
  3. You will make and adjust the interactive production and despatch plans to reflect incoming orders and product availability, in order to present accurate information on supply to customers and the sales force; and keep up to date on the status of existing orders, informing customers/agents of any changes which might affect on-time supply.
  4. You will organise and book transport & storage of pulp supplies for and to the factory, identifying and dealing with supply & transport issues before they become a problem.
  5. You will ensure that transport is booked for orders, so that they are despatched on time or as soon as product is available.
  6. You will maintain a regular view of substandard stocks, and have discretion to negotiate sales to subs merchants.
  7. You will train and share knowledge with less experienced team members; and ensure departmental performance in the absence of the Logistics Manager.

Your ideal profile

  1. You have minimum GCSE Maths and English Language, grade A-C or equivalent.
  2. You have an understanding of the despatch process.
  3. You have an understanding of INCOTERMS.
  4. You have excellent numeracy and computer skills; and you are competent on SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  5. You are able to maintain the confidentiality of sales and customer information.
