Export Sales Manager - Conveyors

Business Development Manager required for a conveyor belt manufacturer for various different industries including FMCG based in Sittingbourne. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining business with the nominated export customer base - Research and develop marketing opportunities to appoint distributors, agents, and sales partners.

You will assist in developing and executing the appropriate Sales & Marketing strategies for the nominated export countries, by providing customer, competitor, and market data to assist in the development and implementation of strategies for the overall Export Sales and Marketing plan with the aim of growth in turnover, volume, and profitability.

Please note that this role involves extensive international travel and overnight stays.

Business Development Manager - Conveyors (Export) Job Overview

1. Achieve the company's Sales & Marketing objectives by implementing agreed marketing plans, exhibition visits, training and monitoring results.
2. Ensure effective relationships are maintained with all customers, including distributors, OEMs and end-users, understanding their needs, and anticipating sales / marketing opportunities.
3. Prepare strategic and annual Sales & Marketing plans including sales revenue & expenditure and seek approval from the BDM Team Leader (Export).
4. Provide the BDM Team Leader (Export) with sales budgets and monthly reports to monitor sales and business activities; including Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the nominated geographical areas.
5. Identify and manage threats and opportunities to Wire Belt's export business, acting on these in a proactive and relevant manner.
6. Propose, appoint, monitor, and liaise with Agents, Distributors and Sales Partners within allocated geographic region.
7. Gather, investigate, and summarise market data, competition, product performance and trends to generate reports, maintain customer records and keep colleagues informed.
8. Assist the Marketing department in devising and implementing Regional and Global marketing plans.
9. Ensure compliance with Data Protection (GDPR) UK and health and safety requirements in all areas of the role.
10. Aid colleagues to develop tools and systems that deliver increasing levels of professional customer service.
11. Hold regular meetings with colleagues to resolve problems and discuss and implement solutions.
12. Assist in implementing lean principles and strategies to improve the export business.

Develop and maintain Wire Belt's family values in relationships with colleagues to aid team spirit and deliver export sales and overall company objectives.

Business Development Manager - Conveyors (Export) Job Requirements

1. Degree qualification in business management or equivalent / Qualified by experience
2. Competent technical qualification or experience Mechanically biased background
3. Experience in sales and business development in international markets, preferably in food and/or manufacturing sectors
4. English and French speaking (additional languages would be an advantage)
5. Available for International travel up to 40% of the time.

Salary dependent on experience and will be discussed on initial call

All work travel (Taxis to airport, etc) is fully covered and when traveling over weekends we give days back in lieu.
