TEXO Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of our Aberdeen-based client to recruit an Export Coordinator for a full-time, permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to coordinate shipments from start to finish, ensuring exceptional customer service and contributing to the team's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Onboarding: Assist with onboarding new clients and managing existing ones, ensuring smooth transitions and satisfaction with services
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with core clients and work closely with the Sales team to achieve set goals
Client Interaction: Attend regular client meetings and provide ongoing support to the Export Team
Shipment Coordination: Book shipments with airlines, shipping lines, and road transport companies. Ensure accurate entry of consignment and client details into the system
Documentation: Process all relevant shipping documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, Bill of Lading, CMR, and Standard Shipping Note
Customs Compliance: Process customs declarations through ASM Sequoia software, adhering to HMRC regulations and destination-specific documentation requirements
Performance Monitoring: Ensure monthly KPIs are met, and billing requirements are completed in a timely manner
Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss workload, issues, and opportunities
Issue Resolution: Address day-to-day client and vendor issues, including NCRs, and feedback any operational challenges to management
Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Compliance Programme and Dangerous Goods procedures, working closely with the Export Manager and Regional Compliance Manager
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in export freight forwarding is preferred
Positive and outgoing attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement and change
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
High level of accuracy in checking and processing information
Familiarity with Lloyds Loading List, OAG Flight Guide, and Croner's Export Guide
Experience in handling Dangerous Goods
