About the Role

A fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in the growth of a successful international business in the Bolton area! As Export and Logistics Manager, you will be a hands-on leader, managing a small team which handles shipments to customers all over the globe.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage daily global logistics operations, tracking international shipments and ensuring timely and accurate customer deliveries.
2. Act as the key contact for governmental and regulatory compliance, ensuring the company meets all international trade requirements and transportation regulations.
3. Ensure data accuracy in import duty and VAT submissions.
4. Assist with product selection and pricing to improve transportation routes.
5. Support account managers to produce costs and quotes which incorporate shipment / delivery.
6. Lead a small team, creating a high-performance culture and delivering process improvements.
7. Create and maintain monthly KPIs, analysing logistic invoicing variances.
8. Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans.

Key Skills

1. Significant expertise in import and export regulations for international shipping.
2. Previous experience shipping pharma products or medical devices.
3. Strong problem-solving abilities.
4. Proven track record working to tight and critical deadlines, prioritizing by risk.
5. Organized, logical, and adaptable to changing policies and procedures.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and software systems.
7. Knowledge of MDR / IVDR and various countries' logistic requirements would be a significant advantage.
