Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Tractor Operator and General Farm Worker

Location: Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire

Are you an experienced tractor operator seeking a new role in a dynamic and diverse farming environment? Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated individual to join their hardworking team on a busy farm set in the stunning countryside of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

What You will Be Doing:

1. Operating a Fendt 728 for all combinable crop drilling using a 6m Horsch Avatar.
2. Handling a variety of machinery for tasks such as de-stoning, cultivation, and fertiliser logistics.
3. Participating in irrigation work and general tractor operations.
4. Supporting the planting and harvesting of a wide range of crops.
5. Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the farm.

Our Client is Looking For:

1. Proven experience operating agricultural machinery.
2. Previous drilling experience is essential.
3. Experience with potatoes is an advantage, though not required.
4. A strong eye for detail and the ability to manage tasks independently.
5. A proactive mindset and the flexibility to work both solo and as part of a team.
6. Solid communication skills and a valid UK driving licence.
7. Basic understanding of machinery maintenance.
8. Additional qualifications (e.g., Telehandler, Forklift, PA1, PA2) are beneficial but not mandatory.

The Role:

1. Full-time (39 hours/week, Monday-Friday).
2. Overtime required during peak seasons.
3. Competitive salary inclusive of 500 hours of overtime. Additional overtime paid hourly, dependent on experience.
