UK CommsLtd is a well-known and highly regarded company which specialises in designing and installing major in-building projects using Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), small cells and other innovative technologies to improve wireless coverage and capacity; working with mobile operators, neutral host providers and property owners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Experienced Telecommunication Engineers to join our team based in Milton Keynes.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful Engineers will be working as part of a hands-on team responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and testing of a range of in-building wireless communication systems throughout the UK.

The Role Will Consist Of The Following:

1. In-building installation: Cat 6, Fibre and RF cabling
2. Commissioning of in-building wireless systems
3. Preparing reports
4. Troubleshoot complex multi-area issues to identify root cause and corrective action
5. Liaising with other departments and customers
6. Resolve critical network problems
7. Erect and maintain mobile telecommunications infrastructure
8. Locate and repair faults to lines and ancillary equipment
9. Connect cables and test for any defects

The Candidate

To be considered for our Telecommunication Engineer positions, we are looking for candidates who have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

1. Competent user of MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
2. Previous experience gained within a similar industry/role
3. Have a flexible approach to the working day (this position will involve travel and sometimes working outside normal business hours)
4. Enthusiastic and positive attitude with good communication skills
5. Ability to thrive in a diverse cultural environment
6. Ability to organise and prioritise work and to meet demanding deadlines with a high attention to detail
7. Strong knowledge of data networks and network features

Education And Qualifications

1. Have held a full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months and have no more than 6 points
2. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
3. CNCI or NVQ level qualifications desired
4. Strong knowledge of data networks and network features
