About the Role:
This full-time position involves working closely with a KS1 pupil with severe learning difficulties. 2. Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate disruptive behaviour.
  3. Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider team to support the child's individual education plan (IEP).
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  5. Assist with personal care and daily routines as required.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Proven experience working with children with severe learning difficulties (SLD).
  2. Exceptional patience, resilience, and a calm demeanour under pressure.
  3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  4. A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the child's needs.
  5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if experience is substantial.
