Job description

Due to an expanding workload, Jones Lambell Ellis Studio are seeking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Part II Architectural Assistant. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the UK and a passion for architecture and interiors.

The ideal candidate will have strong design skills and a creative approach to architectural design. Prior experience in the high-end residential sector is essential. Candidates should also be proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe packages, and SketchUp. Fluency in both spoken and written English is required, and the successful applicant will be required to bring a flexible and committed approach to the job.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. RIBA Part II qualified with minimum 2-year post-Part 2 work experience in the UK
  2. Experience in all RIBA workstages
  3. Excellent understanding of, and appreciation for, materials and detailing
  4. Excellent communication skills: verbal, visual, and written
  5. Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
  6. Flexibility and ability to work effectively and efficiently on several projects at once, and a positive approach to a diverse and varied workload
  7. Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the planning process
  8. Ability to prepare information for presentation to planners, clients, and consultants
  9. Experience of preparing packages of technical information for construction
  10. Ability to undertake site visits and prepare client correspondence as required
  11. Fluent in English
  12. The right to live and work in the UK (from our South West London office, 5 days per week)
