We are looking for a fun, efficient and outgoing barista to work weekends with the potential for ad hoc shifts during the week. Please note, this is a focus on weekends only, around 16 hours per weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Core hours:

Saturday: 7.30am - 5pm with 30min lunch
Sunday: 8am - 4pm with 30min lunch

Total hours: 16-17 hours per week

Must be nice, friendly, and chatty as we mostly have regulars in our coffee shop who like to chat with our baristas. It’s not super busy, but must be able to work in a fast-paced environment when the queues come.

You will be trusted with a key and will be opening/closing the shop, including setup and clean down, which is relatively simple. General responsibilities include keeping the area clean and tidy, serving high-quality coffee with latte art ideally, operating the till, and chatting to our regulars.

You will be dialling in the coffee on our La Marzocco Linda PB with a Mythos 1 grinder using Origin coffee beans.

You will be working with one other person for 4 hours each day on the weekends (9.30am-1.30pm) during the busy period.

Training will of course be provided, but we do need barista experience for you to be considered.

The cafe is called BUTTER UP Coffee, based on Norwood Road, Tulse Hill.
