Key Responsibilities:
As the primary point of contact for dental equipment maintenance, you will be expected to:
- Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues with dental equipment, including dental chairs, X-ray machines, handpieces, and compressors. Utilise diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to pinpoint the root causes of equipment failures.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular servicing, including calibration and performance checks, to prevent equipment malfunctions. Repair or replace faulty components to ensure the dental machinery operates at peak efficiency.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repair logs, and compliance inspections across internal and external platforms. Provide detailed service reports for company records and regulatory compliance.
- Customer Support: Advise dental professionals on proper equipment operation and maintenance practices. Respond promptly to service requests to minimise equipment downtime for dental practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental equipment maintenance role.
- Certification in Electrical Safety.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Practical knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, X-ray equipment, and air and water systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
