An established medical charity is seeking an experienced CT and MRI Radiographer to provide essential imaging services to the local communities. To provide CT and MRI imaging procedures to the local Gloucester communities working for an established medical charity. Imaging procedures undertaken in both modalities cover a wide range of routine and complex work so this is an opportunity for individuals to further develop their skills and expertise. The person we are looking for will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality imaging services supporting the Clinical Lead and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to meet the objectives of the services.
Other key responsibilities are to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient CT and MRI service is maintained by teamworking across the modalities. To undertake imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for all patients; adhering to best practice of radiographic technique. Participate in audit and quality assurance and provide service performance reports. Maintain a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice and delivering exemplary patient care representing the Charity.
The Charity works with the NHS Trust and the University of Gloucestershire hosting radiography student and apprenticeship placements. In addition, the Charity also delivers an internal MRI Trainee programme (cross-sectional programme to be developed in 2025); therefore, individuals will be expected to support all aspects of training and education to students and colleagues.
Experience at senior level is desirable, but training to support career progression will be provided to exceptional candidates. There will be some administrative work required as part of this role; therefore, a good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the application of SharePoint is advantageous.
Shifts will involve working variable days over a 7-day week. Hours of work will be an average of 37.5 hours per week, worked as three 11.5 hour shifts each week with a 30-minute unpaid break, with approximately one additional shift to be worked each month to make up the shortfall in hours. Enhancements apply to weekend and bank holiday working.

Cobalt Health works in partnership with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust supporting the NHS Trust Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) with CT and MRI services seven days a week in purpose-built high-quality relocatable units adjacent to the CDC in the fantastic location of Gloucester Docks.
