Purpose of Role

The Experience Support Team are essential for the day-to-day tour and tasting experience operations at the Johnnie Walker Brand Home. This position is responsible for stock control, coordinating equipment and supplies preparation, setup, and clean-up of all front- and back-of-house areas that support the tour and tasting experience to ultimately deliver memorable experiences for our guests.

Top Accountabilities

1. Possess detailed understanding of all experiences’ equipment and supply needs
2. Implement continuous setup and cleanup of tasting rooms and areas for each experience offering
3. Maintain clean and orderly visitor-facing areas
4. Ensure sanitation and cleaning requirements are followed at all times
5. Continuously supervise tasting inventory
6. Accurately record stock levels at the set times in each support area
7. Assist with ensuring that storage rooms are clean, organized, accurately stocked
8. Supervise tour guide timing to ensure timely rotation
9. Respond promptly to visitor and staff needs
10. Complete assignments in a timely manner and within Johnnie Walker Brand Home’s standards
11. Understand and follow all established operating procedures to exceed operational requirements and ensure visitors and staff receive the highest standards of quality, safety, and service.
12. Have a proven understanding of fire extinguisher and first aid kit procedures
13. Maintain continued interest in the Johnnie Walker Brand Home’s exhibits and informative content to better fulfill your duties
14. Adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
15. Assist in the training of new staff
16. Maintain good attendance and communicate with supervisory staff on scheduling issues
17. Participate in educational opportunities for personal growth and development, including cross training opportunities
18. Perform other duties as assigned, such as rotating into other areas like Bar/Retail to support

Skills

1. Qualifications and Experience required
2. Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or wine/spirits industry
3. Deep passion for whisky and its use within cocktails
4. Strong Team Player
5. Strong desire to learn more about our whisky story, brand, and its characteristics
6. Strong communication and organizational skills
7. Excellent Time Management skills
8. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
9. Proficient Spoken English, Additional languages are beneficial
10. Be guided by a customer-first mindset
11. Be familiar with visitor experience best practices and procedures
12. Requires considerable movement around the site to monitor activities
13. Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends, holidays, and evening
